Job description

We are seeking experienced trauma professionals to join our consulting team in a PRN capacity. This mostly remote role involves supporting trauma centers across the country with performance improvement, compliance, and program development. Ideal candidates will bring deep knowledge of trauma standards and a proven track record with successful ACS surveys.

Position Summary:

As a PRN Trauma Program Support professional, you will collaborate with trauma centers of various levels (I–IV) and patient populations (Adult/Pediatric) to ensure program readiness, optimize registry data use, and enhance performance improvement processes. This role requires self-driven professionals who can work independently while maintaining flexibility to meet client-specific needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Participation in at least two ACS surveys (verification, reverification, or consultation).
  • Previous experience as a Trauma Program Manager or Trauma PI RN.
  • Strong understanding of trauma center operations and ACS Resources for Optimal Care.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly scheduled virtual meetings with assigned clients.
  • Collaborate with trauma teams to support performance improvement and program readiness.
  • Provide expert consultation based on trauma level designation (Level I–IV) and patient population (Adult/Pediatric).
  • Support EMR and trauma registry optimization to enhance data use for PI efforts.
  • Participate in additional opportunities based on skillset, such as:
    • Teaching TPM Essentials courses
    • Developing and presenting educational webinars
    • Contributing to registry education initiatives
    • Key Experience & Skills to Assess

Candidates should be prepared to discuss their experience in the following areas:

  • Trauma Center Level: Level I, II, III, or IV
  • Population Served: Adult, Pediatric, or Combined
  • Burn Center Experience: Yes/No
  • EMR Systems Used: (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech)
  • Trauma Registry Experience:
  • Registry platform used (e.g., Collector, TraumaOne, DI)
  • Proficiency in data abstraction
  • Ability to build and run reports independently

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Professionalism and adaptability to meet client-specific schedules and needs.
  • Responsive communication, checking email regularly and responding within 24 hours when assigned to a project.
