Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Hyperbaric Wound Care department at Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX. This Day Shift | PRN role supports patient care plans, coordinates multidisciplinary care, and executes physician and nursing orders.

Minimum qualifications include a Texas RN license, BLS, and a nursing diploma. Preferred are 2–3 years inpatient experience, wound care background, and C.W.C.N. certification. Benefit options and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing before hire date.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program (or equivalent licensure).
• Minimum of 2–3 years of nursing experience in inpatient/acut e care setting.
• 1 year in wound care or related specialty.
• Certified Wound Care Nurse is preferred.

• Coordinates care as primary liaison among disciplines for well-coordinated care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of nursing experience in an inpatient or acute care setting
• 1 year in wound care or related specialty
• Certified Wound Care Nurse is preferred
