Job summary

UofL Health, a regional academic health system in Louisville, is hiring a Hospital-Based Registered Nurse to deliver care across adult patient populations.

Under supervision, you will assess health status, administer medications, develop age-appropriate care plans with the multidisciplinary team, and educate patients and families. You will also advocate for patients, ensure safety, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN within 3 years may be required.
• KY RN licensure or compact license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health status from admission to discharge across the care continuum.
• Administer medications per licensure and safety guidelines.
• Plan care with patient, family and multidisciplinary team; ensure age-specific plans.
• Identify and prioritize patient problems; implement nursing interventions to meet care goals.
• Educate patients and families; promote discharge planning and safety.
