Interim HealthCare Hospice is seeking a dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to cover the Stevens Point area in Wisconsin. You will provide home-based care, participate in an interdisciplinary team, and guide patients and families through the hospice journey with compassion and clinical excellence.

The role offers a base salary range of $75,000–$85,000 per year, with periodic bonuses, mileage reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits, reflecting our commitment to nurses and patient-centered

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and an active Wisconsin RN license.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience, ideally hospice or home health.
• CPR certification and knowledge of home health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide home-based care to patients with emphasis on quality of life.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to carry out the care plan.
• Perform patient assessments, check vitals, monitor pain, and administer meds.

As a Hospice Registered Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide home-based care to patients with six months or less to live, focused on quality of life
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team comprised of a physician, LPN, CNA, HHA, social worker, chaplain and volunteers to carry out the patient’s plan of care
• Perform patient assessments, check vitals, evaluate breathing, monitor pain, administer prescribed medication and treatments
• Ensure accessibility of medical equipment, prescribed oxygen, medication and other supplies
• Educate family on the patient’s prognosis, changes in care plan, medication and hospice goals
• Take a holistic approach to care that engages the patient’s mind, body, spirit and family

A few must-haves for Hospice Registered Nurses:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, ideally in hospice or home healthcare
• CPR certification
• Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
• Clinical proficiency in nursing specialty, strong communication skills and compassion
