Job summary

The Sentara Infusion department in Chesapeake, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for a part-time role with weekend days, 8am–8pm. The RN will provide infusion nursing care and monitor patients during treatments, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate outcomes.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree, RN license active in Virginia and BLS; experience with ports, central lines and peripheral IVs; competitive benefits and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree in nursing required
• Virginia RN licensure active or eligible
• BLS required within 90 days of hire
• Experience with ports, central lines, and IVs preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process (assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate)
• Infuse medications and monitor patient responses during infusion therapies
• Monitor ports/central lines and manage IV therapy components
• Document care, coordinate with infusion team, and educate patients and families
