Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a current unencumbered state license.
• Knowledge of nursing & medical practices & procedures, and relevant laws/guidelines for nursing care facilities.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Willing to take additional training or education as required by states.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable while handling multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants to ensure quality care.
• Plan and oversee daily nursing activities, administer medications, and complete required documentation.
• Coordinate with physicians and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and foster a warm, collaborative environment.
• Assist in activities of daily living and communicate changes to clinical leadership.
• Perform rounds with physicians and participate in care planning.
