Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit. You will plan, coordinate, and educate patients and families, with discharge planning and community resource access.

Under the direction of Nursing leadership, the RN may serve as Charge Nurse; ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses and BLS is required for all staff.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct and supervise patient care.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including discharge planning and family teaching.
• May perform Charge Nurse duties; ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses.
