Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a GI Lab travel assignment in California. This 13-week position requires providing comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after GI procedures, with proficient use of Epic EMR.

Candidates should have GI lab or endoscopy experience, current BLS (ACLS preferred), and strong clinical judgment. The role includes peri-procedural and post-procedural care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent GI Lab or Endoscopy nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
• Experience using Epic EMR required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care throughout all phases of GI procedures.
• Perform patient assessments and document findings accurately in Epic EMR.
• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures including colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, and other GI interventions.
• Monitor patients during procedures, administering medications as ordered and observing for adverse reactions.
• Provide post-procedure recovery care, patient education, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic while adhering to facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Ensure proper handling and maintenance of endoscopy equipment while following infection prevention protocols.

Schedule: Full-Time (Day Shift, unless otherwise specified)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a busy Gastrointestinal (GI) Lab for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have experience providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing GI procedures, including pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-anesthesia recovery care.

Candidates must be proficient in Epic EMR and demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced procedural environment.
