Favorite Healthcare Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for GI Lab/Endoscopy in the Greater Chicago area. This full-time, permanent role covers Highland Park, Evanston, Glenview, and Skokie, IL, with daytime hours, on-call required, and a full benefits package.

The GI Lab/Endoscopy RN will provide care before, during, and after procedures, including sedation, vitals monitoring, and patient education. A BSN is a plus; IL RN licensure required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license or ability to obtain
• GI/Endoscopy experience or at least 1 year of acute care experience
• Bachelor's degree is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic care before, during and after endoscopic procedures (e.g., colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs).
• Monitor vitals and administer sedation and medications as directed.
• Assist physicians and educate patients and families on procedures and post-procedure care.
• Manage post-procedure recovery to ensure patient stability and safety.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The GI/Endoscopy Registered Nurse provides holistic care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures (like colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs), involving patient assessment, administering sedation and meds, monitoring vitals, assisting physicians, educating patients and families on procedures and diet, and managing post-procedure recovery to ensure stability and safety. They act as patient advocates, manage the procedure environment, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree is a plus
• Current (or ability to obtain) state of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
