Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse for Via Christi, St Francis in Wichita, KS. This part-time, day-shift role focuses on general surgery and trauma patient care, creating personalized care plans and coordinating across disciplines to ensure safety and quality.

You'll lead care transitions, advocate for patients, and support discharge planning while adhering to clinical protocols. A sign-on bonus up to $6,000 is available, along with tuition discounts and academic partnerships to support

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead holistic patient care by executing personalized care plans and monitoring clinical conditions to ensure every patient receives safe, evidence-based treatment.




• Orchestrate the multidisciplinary team as the primary care coordinator, ensuring seamless communication between specialties for a unified approach to healing.




• Champion patient advocacy by accurately translating physician orders into bedside action while maintaining the highest standards of clinical protocol.




• Navigate the transition to home by proactively assessing and coordinating discharge needs, ensuring patients and families feel confident and supported beyond our walls.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.




• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
