Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources seeks an experienced Registered Nurse – General Surgery to support surgical services at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK. This full-time role entails coordinating preoperative and postoperative care within a skilled clinical team serving military personnel.

Requirements include a BSN from ACEN/CCNE-accredited programs, an active US RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS or eligibility to obtain within two months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the United States.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS or able to obtain within 2 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative and postoperative patient education.
• Coordinate surgical scheduling and patient care.
• Support postoperative recovery and PACU services as assigned.
• Administer medications and monitor patient conditions.
• Assist with clinical procedures and surgical care coordination.

Position Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program
• Current, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. jurisdiction
• 1 year of RN experience within the last 2 years
• 1 year of experience in a Surgery Clinic, Step-Down Unit, ICU, or PACU within the last 5 years
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS and PALS certification, or ability to obtain within the first 2 months of employment
