Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a compassionate Registered Nurse – Lactation Consultant to support military families at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
Provide education, encouragement and lactation support to help new mothers and their babies thrive. This full-time role offers a 40-hour schedule based on clinical needs, plus comprehensive medical benefits and paid leave.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- RN license in any U.S. jurisdiction
- 1 year RN experience within the last 2 years
- 1,000-hour lactation internship OR lactation consultant experience
- Current BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive breastfeeding assessments and support
- Educate mothers and families on lactation and newborn care
- Conduct bedside lactation rounds
- Assist patients experiencing breastfeeding challenges
- Coordinate inpatient and outpatient lactation services

- Associate Degree in Nursing or higher from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program
- Current, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. jurisdiction
- 1 year of RN experience within the last 2 years
- 1 year of Lactation Consultant experience OR 1,000-hour clinical internship
- Current BLS certification
- Provide comprehensive breastfeeding assessments and support
