Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking a skilled RN to join Butler Hospital's Delmonico 2 unit, delivering direct patient care in line with ANA standards, hospital policies, and the RI Nurse Practice Act. You will collaborate with the treatment team to plan care and support discharge planning, while maintaining patient safety and high-quality practice.

This full-time days shift (36/72) includes every other weekend; BSN preferred and current RI nursing license required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Rhode Island nursing license.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.
• Coordinates psychiatric and/or medical emergencies in a manner that ensures proper care and safety for all.
• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.


• Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.


• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.


• Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.


• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.


• B.S.N preferred.


• Current RI nursing license.

Schedule: 36/72 Full Time Days / Every Other Weekend
