Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking an ICU experienced Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool, caring for patients in med/surg/PCU units and critical care in our 4 ICU units: SICU, MICU, CCU and Burn ICU. The ICU RN will deliver patient-centered, safe and timely care, collaborate with the care team, and support evidence-based practice within our Shared Governance model.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN with 1 year RN experience.

This Day position is open to ICU experienced RN's only

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, experienced, patient focused ICU Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool and make a difference for our patients and our community.

ICU RN’s will care for patients in our med/surg/progressive care inpatient units as well as patients needing critical care in one of our 4 ICU units: SICU, MICU, CCU and Burn ICU.

As a Registered Nurse in the Float Pool serving ICU patients, you will be responsible for performing patient centered, safe, effective, equitable, timely and efficient patient care based on the specific needs of the patient populations served, communicating effectively with patients, families, and the Care Team, participating as an effective unit and nursing department member and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other health care team members across the organization.

Work Schedule

This position is straight days at 0.7 – 0.9 FTE (56‑72 hours per pay period) with the specific FTE discussed at the time of interview based on departmental needs.

Weekend Rotation

Weekend requirements will include a rotation of every other or every third weekend, to be determined and discussed during the interview process to ensure alignment with unit needs and expectations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
• Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in Nursing
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
• One year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferred
• ICU RN experience is strongly preferred
