Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Super Float Pool Critical Care role at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The RN will provide care for acutely ill patients under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, with duties spanning therapeutic and administrative tasks to support the hospital's nursing mission.

The position requires a BSN or ADN, active RN licensure in the state or a compact license, and mandatory BLS with ACLS, TNCC, and PALS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree.
• Current RN licensure in state of practice or active compact license.
• BLS required; ACLS within 2 months; TNCC and PALS within 6 months.
• Minimum 5 years critical care experience (ICU/ER/PACU).

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care under direction of Nurse Manager/Director for shift.
• Provide therapeutic and administrative services to support patient care and nursing missions.
• Care for acutely ill patients in units per Float Pool agreement.
• Schedule: Part-time DAYS with two 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• The role of the Super Float Pool Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director of the department to which the RN is assigned for his or her shift.
• The Super Float Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
• The Registered Nurse in the Super Float Pool position provides care for acutely ill patient in units as determined by the Float Pool agreement.
• SCHEDULE: Part-time DAYS (2 12-hr shifts plus rotating weekends).

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from accredited school of nursing with either an AND or BSN degree.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
• BLS required upon hire. ACLS required within 2 months of hire. TNCC and PALS required within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 5 years critical care experience in the areas of ICU, ER, and/or PACU.
