Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN Float Pool Registered Nurse to provide patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager and to support acutely ill patients across units as assigned.

This role requires ADN/BSN, RN license in state, BLS; ACLS within 2 months; minimum 2 years acute care in Med-Surg/Telemetry/Ortho/Inpatient Rehab; schedule 6 12-hour shifts in a four-week cycle (including three weekend shifts) with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Summary and Qualifications

• The role of the (non-critical) Float Pool Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director of the department to which the RN is assigned for his or her shift.

• The Float Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

• The Registered Nurse in the Float Pool position provides care for acutely ill patient in units as determined by the Float Pool agreement.

• SCHEDULE: PRN (6 12-hr shifts in a 4 week schedule including 3 weekend shifts)

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from accredited school of nursing with either an AND or BSN degree.

• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.

• BLS required upon hire. ACLS required within 2 months of hire.

• Minimum 2 years acute care experience in areas of Med Surg, Telemetry, Ortho, Inpatient Rehabilitation.
