Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool – MNA Department

Schedule: 24‑hour shifts; days: 7a‑7p, nights: 7p‑7a; every other weekend.

Position Summary

As an RN in the Float Pool you will deliver exceptional patient‑centered care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and supporting BMC's mission of equitable healthcare.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing care in the Department—including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education.
  • Communicate with health‑care team members, patients, and families.
  • Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
  • Update and manage patient records and enter/interpret computerized data.
  • Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization.
  • Assist leadership team as needed in quality‑improvement projects.
Job Requirements
  • Education: Nursing degree required (diploma, ASN or BSN preferred). Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required.
  • Experience: Previous RN experience required.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Massachusetts RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

Compensation Range

$38.10 – $77.63 per hour. The range reflects education, experience, and licensure/certification levels. Additional total compensation includes benefits, contract increases, Flexible Spending Accounts, 403(b) savings match, earned‑time cash out, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources to support employee and family wellbeing.
