Job summary

Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield, IL, is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for our Float Pool to support multiple units and ensure high-quality patient care. The RN will manage patient care across Med‑Surg, ICU, Emergency, Skilled Care, and outpatient settings, while guiding LPNs and Nursing Assistants and assisting with staff orientation and education.

The position requires ADN with IL RN licensure and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, plus 3–5 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• ADN from an accredited nursing program and Illinois RN license.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required.
• 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in Float Pool or multiple units preferred.
• Ability to teach and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse – Float Pool provides management of patient care across all hospital nursing units including house supervisor. Assignments are determined based on patient acuity and census.
