Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its float pool at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield, IL. The role covers Med-Surg, ICU, ED, and clinic settings, with duties across units based on acuity and census.

You will supervise LPNs and staff, help with orientation, and support patient education and discharge planning. Requires ADN, IL RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS; BSN and TNCC are preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: ADN from an accredited nursing program.
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license and current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
• Three to five years of clinical nursing experience.
• Preferred: BSN and TNCC certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based care across multiple hospital units based on acuity and census.
• Assign and oversee duties of LPNs, nursing assistants, and desk staff.
• Participate in orientation and staff education.
• Participate in code management, drills, and disaster plans.
• Document care and operate computerized EHR systems.
• Discharge planning and patient teaching.
• Maintain current clinical skills in Med-Surg, ICU, ED, and clinic settings.
• Protect patient privacy and administer medications safely.
• Collaborate with physicians and departments to improve patient outcomes.
