Qualifications

CNAs play an essential role in delivering safe, high‐quality, resident‐centered care by supporting residents with daily needs, promoting comfort, and maintaining a clean and therapeutic environment. Working under the supervision of a RN or LPN, the CNA contributes to effective care delivery through attentive observation, timely communication, and accurate documentation. The CNA provides direct, indirect, and restorative care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, hygiene, nutrition, and comfort measures. This position supports restorative programming, ensures resident safety, and helps maintain an exceptional care experience consistent with FMH’s mission and standards.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*** Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.* Assist with resident mobility, including ambulation, transfers, turning, and positioning using proper body mechanics and equipment such as Hoyer lifts.* Obtain and document vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other observations accurately and promptly.* Support restorative and rehabilitative activities, including range‐of‐motion exercises as directed by therapy staff.* Assist with meals by preparing residents, serving trays, feeding as needed, and supporting hydration and nourishment programs.* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment, including linen management and infection control practices.* Observe and report changes in resident condition, behavior, or skin integrity to nursing staff.* Participate in resident admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring comfort, dignity, and accurate documentation.**COMPENSATION:** $24.00 per hour + Shift Differential (Weekday Night: $1.00 per hour; Weekend: $2.00 per hour)**SCHEDULE:** As Needed**BENEFITS*** 403(b) Retirement* Paid Leave for All Workers Act Leave (1 hour for every 40 hours worked)**WHAT FMH HAS TO OFFER**Fairfield Memorial Hospital is a mission focused critical access hospital dedicated to providing exceptional care to the patients and families we serve, with a strong commitment to improving the health and well‐being of our community through compassionate service, clinical excellence, and a supportive culture that empowers employees to do their best work.
