Job summary

Baptist Health System, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool on a part-time schedule (7p–7a). The RN is responsible for direct comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge, with documentation of care and outcomes.

Candidates must hold an active Kentucky RN license and meet required certifications within specified timeframes. Preferred candidates may hold a BSN and have recent specialty experience; tuition assistance, PTO, and other benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be an RN with Kentucky license or eligible for licensure.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• NIHSS within 6 months of hire.
• PALS within 6 months of hire.
• Crisis Prevention certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge.
• Review and document care, outcomes, and evaluations.
• Apply evidence-based practice and professional standards at the bedside.

The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.

• Reviews and documents care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care.

• Applies evidence, professional standards, and best practice to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices.

Requirements:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.

• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.

• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 6 months of hire.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire.

• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent experience in specialty preferred.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
