Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse to support ICU and Telemetry units in Kentucky. The role emphasizes evidence-based nursing, patient-centered care, and collaboration across disciplines in a healing environment.

The RN will coordinate direct patient care, contribute to admissions/discharges, and provide education to patients and families, while upholding regulatory standards and nursing guidelines. ICU/Tele exposure preferred, with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
• 2 years RN experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or an Associate Degree with progression toward a bachelor’s within 5 years; BLS, ACLS/PALS/NRP as required; dysrhythmia class where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, ensure, and provide direct patient care on the unit through rounds, assessments, and treatments.
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities.
• Provide patient and family-centered education and care coordination.

Job Description:

• The Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky
• 2 years RN experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college/university or an Associate’s Degree with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience required. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and less than ten years’ experience, an Associate Degree in Nursing will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must be enrolled within 12 months in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
