Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of New Braunfels is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on our medical-surgical unit. In this role you will utilize the nursing process, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and participate in discharge planning to support post-hospitalization needs.

Current Texas RN licensure (or compact licensure), BLS certification, and ACLS (within 90 days). ACLS is required for Charge Nurses.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of employment or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment; for Charge Nurses ACLS must be current.
• Experience in inpatient med-surg is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on the unit.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families for post-hospitalization care; access community resources.
• Other related duties including Charge Nurse responsibilities as assigned.
