Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of San Antonio Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care in the nursing unit under the direction of nursing leadership.

The RN will plan, coordinate, and provide care with interdisciplinary teams, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching for post-hospitalization. ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment, and BLS certification is required prior to start.

Qualifications

• Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and patient/family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Access community resources and participate in related duties as assigned.
• May perform Charge Nurse duties as needed with ACLS certification.
