Job summary

RiverSpring Licensed Home Care Services Agency seeks a Lead Nurse Educator in the Bronx to oversee the Home Health Aide and CNA training program. You will develop curricula, align with NYSDOH requirements, and support competency across the team.

You will collaborate with clinical leadership, provide on-call support, and ensure staff training remains compliant with evolving regulations. The role requires active NY RN licensure and HHATP Educator approval, with focus on quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Current, active New York State Registered Professional Nurse license in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Minimum three years of progressive nursing experience in home care, long-term care, or community-based healthcare.
• Must be approved and recognized by NYS DOH as an HHATP Educator for LHCSA.
• Familiar with NYS LHCSA regulations, HHATP standards, and aide scope of practice.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining regulatory-compliant training curriculum.
• Experience classroom instruction, clinical skills labs, and competency validation.
• Knowledge of Department of Health survey processes related to aide training.
• Ability to educate, mentor, and hold paraprofessional staff accountable.
• Excellent written documentation and communication skills.

The RiverSpring Living campus is set on 32 acres overlooking the Hudson River, in Riverdale, New York.RiverSpring Living provides a full range of care solutions including nursing home care, assisted living programs, senior housing, rehabilitation services and specialized services such as elder abuse prevention and memory care.

Position Summary

The Lead Nurse Educator facilitates the Home Health Aide and Certified Nurse Aid Training Program, including curriculum development and ongoing program maintenance in alignment with New York State Department of Health requirements and agency standards. This position supports competency and educational activities as needed and collaborates with clinical leadership to reinforce aide performance and compliance. The role also provides on-call support to promote safe and appropriate delivery service.

Qualifications

• Current, active New York State Registered Professional Nurse license in good standing
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
• Minimum three (3) years of progressive nursing experience in home care, long-term care, or community-based healthcare
• Must be formally approved and recognized by the New York State Department of Health as an HHATP Educator for the Licensed Home Care Services Agency
• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of NYS LHCSA regulations, HHATP standards, and aide scope of practice
