Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver expert, compassionate care in the ER at Wesley Chapel Hospital. The role requires nursing licensure, ER experience, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, provide direct patient care, and collaborate with the health care team. The position is full-time, in-person, with a shift from 12:45 PM to 1:15 AM, and includes benefits and opportunities for professional growth within our network of

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing.
• Nursing degree (Diploma, ADN, BSN or higher).
• Minimum 1 year ER nursing experience.
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or AHA).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• PALS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a hospital setting using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Plan, organize, and update the care plan in collaboration with patients and families.
• Identify patients at risk for injury and prepare the room and environment accordingly.
• Monitor and communicate patient vitals and assessments to the care team.
• Respond to medical emergencies for critically ill patients.
• Foster a positive patient experience through clear communication and empathy.
• Maintain professional accountability and ongoing development.

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing

The Registered Nurse – Responsibilities And Skills

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
