Nexus MedPro Staffing seeks an experienced ER Holding / MS-Tele Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. The RN will cover nights (3x12s) in an ED Holding/CDU, supporting patient throughput and observation for patients awaiting disposition.

Requirements include 2+ years RN experience with MS/Tele or ED Holding, BLS, NIHSS; NC/Compact license (pending acceptable).

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• MS/Tele RN or ED Holding experience required — HARD STOP
• BLS required.
• NIHSS required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience.
• IV start and peripheral-line management experience.
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
• NC or Compact RN license; pending license may be accepted for submission.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Care for medical, telemetry, and general surgical patients in ED Holding/Clinical Decision Unit.
• Assist with patient throughput and ED decompression.
• Coordinate diagnostic testing and procedures.
• Cardiac/medical telemetry monitoring and IV/phlebotomy support.
• Non-invasive airway management; chest tube management; cardiac drips.

Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced ER Holding / MS-Tele Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment with Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Job Details:

• Specialty: ER Holding / MS-Tele RN.
• Facility: Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.
• Location: Winston-Salem, NC.
• Start Date: November 23, 2026.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks.
• Schedule: Nights, 3x12s.
• Shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM.
• Hours: 36 hours/week.
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,146/week.
• Employment Type: Travel Contract.
• Self-scheduling.
• Every-other-weekend coverage.
• Floating required to similar units as needed.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Local candidates accepted at an adjusted local rate.

Unit Overview:

This is an Emergency Department Holding / Clinical Decision Unit designed to support patients awaiting observation, admission, diagnostic testing, procedures, or disposition from the Emergency Department.

The RN will care for medical, telemetry, and general surgical patients while helping support patient throughput and decompress the Emergency Department.

Clinical responsibilities may include:

• Cardiac and medical telemetry monitoring.
• IV therapy and phlebotomy.
• Peripheral and central-line care.
• Port access and management.
• Non-invasive airway management.
• Chest tube management.
• Cardiac drips without titration.
• Isolation precautions and PPE.
• Rapid-response and emergency care.
• Coordination of diagnostic testing and procedures.

Unit Details:

• Overflow / ED Holding / Observation setting.
• Approximate target ratio: 1:6–7.
• Average census: approximately 18.
• Adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
• Floating may include similar units and EOU/observation.
• Systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR.
• Navy blue scrubs.
• 24 hours of orientation.

Scheduling & RTO:

• Every other weekend required.
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved, excluding holidays.
• No RTO during the first week.
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
• Additional RTO after booking is not permitted.
• Block scheduling is not available.
