Job summary

Vitruvian Health in Tennessee is seeking an ER Nurse to deliver high‑quality care in a fast‑paced emergency department. Under supervision of the Nurse Manager and nursing supervisor, you will provide comprehensive nursing care for infants through geriatrics, emphasizing patient-centered approaches and teamwork.

Requirements include graduation from an approved school of nursing, Tennessee or Compact state RN license, BLS and ACLS on hire, and PALS within 6 months of ED assignment.

The ER Nurse, under supervision of the Nurse Manager and the nursing supervisor is responsible for the nursing care of the patients in the emergency department and is responsible for the direction of patient care. The RN delivers care based on patient needs appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adults, and geriatric patients. He/she demonstrates an interest in patient centered approach to total nursing care. Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. The RN shall be responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing as evidenced by verification of state licensure.

Experience: At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment preferred.

Licenses/Certificates: Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required. BLS and ACLS required upon hire. PALS within 6 months of assignment to the Emergency Department
