Job summary

Vitruvian Health is seeking an experienced ER Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. Under supervision of the Nurse Manager, you will deliver nursing care across all age groups and coordinate planning, supervision, and evaluation of patient care in collaboration with physicians and hospital staff.

Qualified applicants hold a graduate nursing degree, a TN or Compact RN license, and current BLS/ACLS (PALS within 6 months).

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with state licensure.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
  • Current Tennessee or Compact State RN license; BLS and ACLS required on hire; PALS within 6 months of ED assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients across age groups in the Emergency Department.
  • Plan, supervise, and evaluate nursing care in coordination with the medical team and hospital staff.

The ER Nurse, under supervision of the Nurse Manager and the nursing supervisor is responsible for the nursing care of the patients in the emergency department and is responsible for the direction of patient care. The RN delivers care based on patient needs appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adults, and geriatric patients. He/she demonstrates an interest in patient centered approach to total nursing care. Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. The RN shall be responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing as evidenced by verification of state licensure.

Experience: At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment preferred.

Licenses/Certificates: Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required. BLS and ACLS required upon hire. PALS within 6 months of assignment to the Emergency Department
