Job summary

Vitruvian Health in Tennessee seeks an ER Nurse to deliver compassionate care in the Emergency Department under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and nursing supervisor. The RN provides age-appropriate care for patients from infants to geriatrics and supports a patient-centered approach.

The role requires graduation from an approved nursing program, an active Tennessee or compact RN license, and current BLS and ACLS; PALS within six months of assignment.

Qualifications

  • Education: Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment preferred.
  • Licenses/Certificates: Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required. BLS and ACLS required upon hire. PALS within 6 months of assignment to the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department under supervision of the Nurse Manager and nursing supervisor.
  • Plan, supervise, and evaluate the nursing care of patients and coordinate with the medical plan of care and policies.

The ER Nurse, under supervision of the Nurse Manager and the nursing supervisor is responsible for the nursing care of the patients in the emergency department and is responsible for the direction of patient care. The RN delivers care based on patient needs appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adults, and geriatric patients. He/she demonstrates an interest in patient centered approach to total nursing care. Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. The RN shall be responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing as evidenced by verification of state licensure.

Experience: At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment preferred.
