Job summary

BayCare Health System in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Bardmoor Free Standing ER in Largo. You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.

The role requires ER experience, active RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. This is an in-person, full-time position with weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• 1 year ER nursing experience.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required.
• Diploma/Associate/Bachelor in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers direct patient care in a hospital ER setting.
• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinates with health care team to prioritize and update care plans.
• Monitors patient vitals and responses to treatment.
• Responds to emergencies and supports positive patient experiences.

• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend commitment
• On Call: No
• Always in person

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – Responsibilities And Skills

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care teamOrganizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
