Job summary

Idaho Falls Community Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. The RN will provide direct and indirect patient care, communicate with physicians and nursing staff, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition. Includes duties across departments with supervision as needed.

Requirements include graduate of an accredited RN program and Idaho RN licensure, with current BLS and preferred ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications. ED experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current RN license in Idaho.
• Current BLS required; ACLS, PALS and TNCC preferred or completed within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and re-assessments per policy.
• Assess and reassess pain; educate patient and family on pain management.
• Revise care plans based on patient response and daily evaluation.
• Perform point-of-care testing (glucose) per policies.
• Interpret laboratory results and notify providers as needed.
• Administer medications correctly following the five rights and document in EHR.
• Educate patients and families and develop education plans.
• Assist physicians with procedures and provide required technical support.
