Job summary

Lambstaffing is seeking an RN-EP for a Cardiac EP lab assignment in Winston-Salem, NC. RN will participate in procedures, administer medications, and monitor patients in a high-acuity cardiovascular setting.

Requirements include an active RN license, 1+ year in the specialty, and BLS/ACLS. Travel from within the facility is possible, with orientation per center policy.

Qualifications

• Active state RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the specialty (Cardiac/EP lab).
• BLS and ACLS required for clinical roles; references upon request.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Circulate, scrub (if trained) and monitor during procedures.
• Assist physicians and clinical team during EP/Cath lab cases.

• 1 Medical Center Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27157
• 885 licensed beds
• Level 1 Trauma Designation
• Teaching Hospital: Yes, Academic Medical Center
• Chest Pain Center
• Stroke Center

Department Information:

• 5 OR's
• Average census: 20-25 pts per day
• Experience: 1+ year required; 2 years preferred
• First-time travelers: Yes, but not preferred.

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Cardiac Caths, Impella, Watchman, TAVR, ECMO, Clips, Peds (as young as days old - PFO etc.) and others

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

• RN: BLS, ACLS
• Cardiac Cath Tech: BLS, ARRT-R or RCIS

Skills required:

• RN: Sedation; Nurses will circulate, and monitor. RN is responsible for medication administration.
• If RN is trained and proficient to scrub cases, that is a bonus but not required at this time.
• Cardiac Cath Tech: do not give medications but will scrub, circulate and monitor

Support within the Department:

• Assistant Clinical Manager (RN)
• Physicians - 10
• RRT
• RT
• Anesthesia/CRNA team

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC, Cupid, Sensis
• Department specific Equipment: All Siemens x-ray systems

Floating:

• None

Orientation (facility and unit):

• Standard Med Center Orientation
• 2 weeks or less orientation in the CCL to the lab and surroundings
