Lambstaffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Med/Surg/Tele at a 351-bed teaching hospital in High Point, NC. The unit operates 36 beds with 1:6 RN ratio and 1:9-12 CNA ratio, requiring acute care skills and swift multitasking.

Candidates must have an active RN license in good standing, at least 1 year of med/surg experience, and BLS. Orientation is provided; some shifts include 7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am coverage.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience.
• BLS certification required for clinical roles.

Unit Information:

• Beds: 36
• Average census: ADC = 33 currently
• Experience: 1+ year
• Prior travel experience required

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• General Med/Surg - CHF, COPD, kidney/liver/GI/respiratory issues, infections, wounds, CIWA, patients requiring CBI, etc.
• Floor LOC post-operative patients - Bariatric, hips; trauma surgical, bucks traction

Patient Ratios:

• RN: 1:6
• LPN (if applicable): 1:6
• CNA: 1:9-12

Required Licensure & Certifications:

• BLS

Skills required:

• General care of the medical/surgical patient - IV start/maintenance, foley start/maintenance, NG tube start/maintenance, chest tubes, wound care/dressing changes, wound vacs/drains, heparin drips CBI

Support within the Department:

• CNA duties: Duties as assigned, within the scope of the CNA; General ADLs, vital signs, ambulation/mobility, assistance with feeding, blood sugars and other duties as assigned within the scope of the CNA.
