Lambstaffing is seeking an RN for MedSurg/Tele travel assignments at a Winston-Salem, NC medical center. The role requires strong telemetry skills, 2+ years in MST, and the ability to work within a busy hospital setting.

Eligible candidates will hold an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, with the capacity to manage chest tubes and tracheostomies as needed. Travel nurses enjoy hospital teamwork and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing; minimum 1 year recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience reading telemetry strips; chest tubes/trach management.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct and indirect patient care while communicating effectively.
• Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient status promptly.
• Collaborate with CNAs, RTs, and hospital staff to coordinate care.

Unit Information:

• Beds: 24
• Experience: 2+ years MST
• First-time travelers: Yes, dependent on experience. Must have a strong background in MST

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• General Medicine - DM, GI, Resp, Renal, Wounds/Dressing Changes, chest tubes, trachs, lab draws required

Patient Ratios:

• RN: 5-6:1
• CNA: 8:1

Required Licensure & Certifications:

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team requirement)

Skills required:

• Ability to provide direct and indirect patient care, strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, solid written and oral communication skills, ability to tolerate moderate to high stress levels, and experience reading telemetry strips
• Chest tubes, traches, PIV starts, drain & tubes, PCA pumps
• Gtts management – Amiodarone (occasionally), Fentanyl PCA, Ketamine PCA, Dilaudid PCA, Heparin

• CNA: Duties – Provides basic nursing care to assigned patients and assist RN where needed
