• Assess patient needs based on history, observation, physical exam, and diagnostic data to implement age-appropriate nursing interventions.
• Foster a caring, compassionate environment for patients, families, and visitors.
• Utilize health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
• Apply standard work related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Precept and mentor novice employees; contribute to departmental performance.
• Support hospital-system initiatives and evidence-based nursing practices.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth and goal setting; float to assist other units as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Job responsibilities include those listed in the competency document but are not limited to assessing the needs of the patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data while also providing appropriate age specific nursing interventions which are consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.
