Job summary

McLeod Health is seeking an Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Lab in Florence, SC. This full-time, on-site position supports a fast-paced lab environment with acute patient care responsibilities.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing with active RN licensure and BLS certification, plus leadership or charge nurse experience as applicable. You may float to other units and contribute to improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs based on history, observation, exam, and diagnostics.
• Provide age-appropriate nursing interventions aligned with care plan.

• Ensure health and safety equipment usage to protect patients and staff.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Job responsibilities include those listed in the competency document but are not limited to assessing the needs of the patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data while also providing appropriate age specific nursing interventions which are consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.
• Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
• Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
• Utilizes standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Contributes to the overall performance of the department through precepting and mentoring novice employees.
• Contributes to the department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives cultivating nursing involved Evidence Based Practices.
• Demonstrates continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
• Will float to assist in other like units as needed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
