Qualifications

• Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of patients based on history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data; provide age-appropriate nursing interventions aligned with the plan of care and standards of practice.
• Foster an environment of caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
• Utilize health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
• Employ standard work related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Precept and mentor novice employees to support department performance.
• Contribute to department growth through hospital-system initiatives and Evidence Based Practices.
• Pursue continued professional growth by setting goals and attending educational offerings.
• Float to assist in other like units as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
