Job summary

Ascension Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery and ED coverage on a PRN Day Shift. You’ll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement and monitor patient care plans, and coordinate care across disciplines.

You’ll ensure orders are carried out, assist with discharge planning, and support patients and families through procedures and recovery. Texas RN licensure plus ACLS/BLS are required; Pediatric ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing prior to hire.
• Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.

• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• One or more of the following:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Preferred Credential(s):

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
