What is the Emergency Department RN Transition to Practice Program?
12 weeks of training that is tailored to meet your individual learning needs in our Level II Trauma Center at South Shore Health. Hands-on nursing experience in assessing patients, planning care and providing care. Successful program participants will be placed in a full-time shift position in the Emergency Department. Program starts 8/11/25.
Responsibilities:
Minimum Education - Preferred: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Minimum Work Experience: Previous Acute Care RN experience preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications: RN - Registered Nurse
Depending on department, Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, Emergency Response Training Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification may be required.
Full time day, evenings, and nights shifts will be available - 36hrs per week.
