Ascension's St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a fulltime evening schedule. You will deliver holistic nursing care and collaborate with physicians and specialists to ensure high‑quality patient care.

The role emphasizes care planning, vigilant monitoring, and coordinating orders and discharge planning to support safe transitions. Requires OK RN licensure, ACLS within 180 days, BLS within 30 days, and a nursing diploma.

Qualifications

• RN credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
• ACLS within 180 days of hire date; BLS within 30 days; PALS preferred.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program; licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead Patient Care: deliver holistic nursing care aligning with clinical standards.
• Drive Care Planning: initiate and monitor personalized care plans.
• Coordinate the Team: serve as communication link among disciplines.
• Practice Vigilant Monitoring: observe and report patient condition changes.
• Ensure Continuity: coordinate orders and discharge planning for transitions.

Lead Patient Care:

Deliver holistic, high-quality nursing care that aligns with the highest clinical standards and organizational protocols

Drive Care Planning:

Initiate, implement, and continuously monitor personalized patient care plans, ensuring they are effective and adapt to changing needs

Coordinate the Team:

Serve as the central communication link for all disciplines—from physicians to specialists—to ensure a unified and seamless care journey for every patient

Practice Vigilant Monitoring:

Accurately observe, record, and promptly communicate changes in patient conditions, acting quickly and decisively on clinical insights

Ensure Continuity:

Expertly manage and execute physician and nursing orders while proactively coordinating all elements of a patient’s discharge plan to support successful transitions of care

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

One or more of the following required:

Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
