Qualifications

• Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license in NJ or multi-state (NLC).
• TNCC within 12 months if assigned to specific units and 8 hours of trauma-related CNE annually.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire for specific units.
• NRP within 6 months of hire for certain units.
• PALS within 6 months of hire for certain pediatric areas.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care to patients through teamwork and nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Ensures patient safety by following policies and procedures.
• Supports pain management and comfort measures for patients and families.
• Coordinates with other departments to follow up on interventions and outcomes.
• Assists in discharge planning and providing education on medications.
• Participates in committees and performance improvement activities.
