Job summary

Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a registered nurse to join our care team. This role requires holding a current RN license in the state of practice and BLS certification, with preferred experience in acute care.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and coordinating care, and documenting progress. The nurse will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and may supervise department staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting is required; Banner positions require at least one year in the specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational and discharge needs.
• Formulate and implement a care plan with discharge planning.
• Coordinate and supervise nursing care with licensed staff and other team members.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust plan of care as needed.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions and patient responses in the chart.
• Participate in evidence-based practice and clinical improvement activities.
• Contribute to hospital-wide quality outcomes and patient safety initiatives.
• May supervise staff and work flow in the department.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and other providers.
