Job summary

Methodist Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Float Pool. The RN will manage patient care episodes in collaboration with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.

The position is 0.75 FTE with straight overnight 12-hour shifts and every third weekend. Required qualifications include telemetry and critical care experience, MN RN license, and AHA BLS certification. Beneficiary packages and onsite resources support professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved nursing program and be eligible for Minnesota RN license.
• BSN preferred; BSN expected within 2 years of hire.
• Current BLS provider status per AHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and coordinate care with care givers and nursing staff.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Nursing Assistants and other staff as needed.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in a critical care setting.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.

Work Schedule:

Required Qualifications:

• Telemetry experience required, critical care experience preferred.
• Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program in Nursing.BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
