Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab in Nashville, TN. The role involves direct patient care during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including sedation and monitoring, with a focus on safety and precise communication with physicians.

You will prepare patients, document care plans and coordinate equipment and supplies for procedures, contributing to high-quality cardiovascular care in a full-time day shift position.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee or multi-state Compact recognition.
• BLS provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
• Assess, prepare and position patients; perform conscious sedation and monitoring as needed.
• Prepare and document plan of care; communicate patient status to physician during procedures.
• Perform and facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
• Set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
• Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures. Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
• Prepare, implement and document plan of care. Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
• Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
• Perform set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
