Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license to work at the assigned HMH location by date of hire.
• Associate degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing is required; BSN in progress preferred or will be pursued within three years.
• Six months of relevant nursing experience OR active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs; strong accountability; teamwork; ongoing education; commitment to high-quality patient care.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team for a variety of patients.
• Coordinate patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• Direct and oversee care by other caregivers through delegation, validation, and evaluation.
• Support continuous improvement in patient outcomes and safety.
