Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Mixed Cardiac/Tele and Neuro/Stroke unit at the Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus. This full‑time, night shift position (7:00pm–7:00am) includes weekends and rotating holidays, with a focus on high‑quality patient care and efficient care coordination.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate Degree in Nursing or higher, IL RN licensure, CPR certification, and ACLS/NIHSS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical knowledge and bedside care skills.
• Excellent communication with patients, families and care teams.
• Ability to educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.
• CPR certification and Illinois RN licensure are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate patient care based on physical and psychological needs.
• Monitor and care for patients at bedside and virtually; update bedside RNs.
• Perform medication reconciliation, complete checklists, and contact families as needed.
• Educate patients and families, plan discharge, and document interactions in EPIC.

Responsibilities Include

• Providing age-appropriate patient care by applying knowledge of physical and psychological needs
• Monitoring and caring for patients bedside and virtually, communicating care updates to bedside RNs
• Performing medication reconciliation, completing checklists, and contacting families
• Educating patients and families, discharge planning, and documenting interactions in EPIC

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred
• Current Illinois RN licensure and CPR certification
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications within 6 months of start
• Experience in acute care preferred; diploma nurses grandfathered
