Job summary

The Society of Critical Care Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the General Medical/Surgical Unit in Elmhurst, IL. The position requires delivering compassionate nursing care, collaborating with the clinical team, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Full-time with the requirement of working 36 hours per week, primarily from 7pm to 7am.

Ideal candidates will hold an Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, possess a current RN license, and be CPR certified. Benefits include premium pay, tuition reimbursement, and various health plan options.

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• 1 year of inpatient nursing experience is highly preferred.

Overview

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Registered Nurse - General Medical/Surgical Unit
• Location: Elmhurst, IL
• Full Time: 36 hours per week
• Hours: 7pm – 7am with every 3rd weekend and holiday track

What you will do

The Staff Nurse will deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. The Staff Nurse will collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

What you will need

Required Education, License and/or Certification, Skills and/or Experience:

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
• If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
• Current incumbents with an RN Diploma are grandfathered
• RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to September 1, 2021
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
