Job summary

Endocrine News is seeking a Registered Nurse for the General Medical/Surgical Unit in Elmhurst, IL. This full-time role encompasses working 36 hours a week with hours from 7pm to 7am, including every third weekend and holiday.

The ideal candidate will deliver compassionate care, collaborate with clinical teams, and possess the required nursing certifications and degrees.

Qualifications

• Valid State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• 1 year of inpatient nursing experience is highly preferred.

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Registered Nurse - General Medical/Surgical Unit
• Location: Elmhurst, IL
• Full Time: 36 hours per week
• Hours: 7pm – 7am with every 3rd weekend and holiday track

What you will do

The Staff Nurse will deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. The Staff Nurse will collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

What you will need

Required Education, License and/or Certification, Skills and/or Experience:

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
• If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
• Current incumbents with an RN Diploma are grandfathered
• RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to September 1, 2021
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association

Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing
• 1 year of inpatient nursing experience is highly preferred
