Qualifications

Job description

Job Summary:

SUNY Upstate Cardiac Cath Lab is seeking a Registered Nurse for the evening shift.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide care for patients undergoing procedures in the department of the Cardiac Cath Lab and Endovascular Suite in the Heart & Vascular Center.
2. This includes prep, procedure, and recovery of these patients as well as on-call responsibilities for this care.
3. Assist in clinical care for all patients as needed in the HVC.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
2. NYS RN licensure with a minimum of 2 years cardiac nursing experience (preferably in an ICU/critical care setting) required.
3. CPR-BLS Certification by time of appointment.
4. Must be able to handle physical aspects of patient care such as moving patients and equipment.
5. Must be able to participate in rotating on-call schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Acute care experience in Cardiac Care.
2. ACLS certification preferred.
